Acne can be defined as a skin care disease which involves the hair and oil glands. It is characterised by pimples, black/white heads, reddishness and cysts. Facial acne can spoil your appearance and body acne can make you very uncomfortable. Considering acne as a minor problem, some people tend to totally discard the topic of ‘Acne skin care’. However, the importance of your acne skin care absolutely cannot be undermined in any fashion.

There are many misconceptions about retinol acne despite being one of the most common skin conditions around the world; the main belief being that it only affects young people. In fact nearly 90 percent of people suffer from retinol acne sometime in their lifetime and whilst retinol acne is dreaded, it usually shows up during our teenage years and fortunately, many people outgrow it.
Whilst the naturally occurring oil we produce called sebum does in fact clog the hair follicles, it is not the only substance to blame for the condition of retinol acne and neither is oily skin either. retinol acne seems to be a condition that is not necessarily a natural one and something that past generations did not suffer with.
